Oh my god Rachel that is terrible!! I hope that besides that the wedding went ok and you managed to relax and enjoy yourself. I do not know how they have the nerve - I tried to write to their head office but as they are a franchise is doesn't seem to exist - I wrote to them as well with response they could not care less! and the fact they lied about being traffic - consider contacting your local paper - I will happily give a statement if you do! Pronuptia Leeds are quite simply the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced ! DO NOT GO TO PRONUPTIA IN LEEDS

I totally agree- i recently got married and ordered my 3 bridesmaid dresses 8 months before my wedding to allow plenty of time for fittings as my bridesmaids lived in different areas. the dresses only arrived a couple of weeks before the wedding which made fittings very difficult. The bridesmaids all had to do their fittings seperately and a few days before the wedding when i got them all out i noticed that one was a completely different shade to the other two. Pronuptia's response to this was that they wouldn't have time to do anything about it. Then the night before the wedding when my 3 bridesmaids tried their dresses on we realised that they had not made the alterations to my sisters dress so it was about 3inches too long and she could not even walk in it!! i rang the shop and she said she would come out and alter it - however when a few hours had passed and no sign of her which was holding up a family meal the night before my wedding i rang her and heard the shop door bell as it opened - to this she became flustered and said she was stuck in traffic!! a complete lie. In the end i got the dress back at 10.30pm the night before my wedding. She obviously had done a botch job on the alterations and throughout the wedding day they all came undone and frayed!! I have written to them since and they are refusing to do anything about this despite the fact that i paid 450 pounds for these dresses and the fact that one is a different colour has ruined my wedding pictures!! DO NOT GO TO PRONUPTIA IN LEEDS
